Hey, some context - there are many types of Meeple that are expansion specific! In terms of space, there’s a lot of wasted space in the big box, and I picked up the standard copy too, put the tiles and meeples into an old expansion box for a different game which I use as my travel edition, and got all the content from the big box into the standard box with a wooden insert… though the big box did get repurposed for Terraforming Mars with 3d printed goodies!
@@TabletopGamingMag ah no worries 😂 I bought the standard version and now wondering if I should have bought the big box instead for the mini expansions.
I got excited when I saw this version. 11 expansions, $80 ish dollars... Then I found out it really only has two "full" expansions, #1 Inns/Cathedrals and #2 Traders and builders, then a few "mini" expansions, two of which come with the base game and expansion anyway, so really only 2 expansions and 7 mini expansions. This is not really true for the mini expansions as well as the original 6 had one tile in each for the 7th mine expansion, corn circles II. At this point I think the best(only and cheapest) way to get all the mini expansions. I'm a bit jelly, don't wana buy this just for mini expansions.... don't do it. For the price its not bad and a great way to get into Carcassonne, but a bit deceptive on the "11 expansions" claim.
Carcassonne is one of the finest games. I always have it as the first game to be played on my special Meeple Discovery tournaments. You guys need to enter the 4 player Carcassonne tournament on the Friday of UK Games Expo. 😜
I realize that I am kind of late on this one, but hey here is a fun fact? Like you pointed out in the video Carcassonne uses Meeples. But further than that, it is actually the very game that came up with the term Meeple from "my" and "people". This game is patient zero.

Thanks for the unboxing! You deserve more views and comments, lovely & enthusiastic presentation!
Aww thank you, this is a really nice comment 😊
Thanks for the unboxing! I just ordered this without knowing what to expect. Your video is nicely reassuring. I can't wait to play this with my kids.
Thanks for commenting, no problem at all! Hope you and the kids enjoyed it 😊
Great unboxing! Are there any differences compared to big box 6 (2017)?
I didn't get to see the previous one, but as far as I'm aware - nothing outside of what you'd expect!
Hi, great video. Did you mention you have a video going through the expansions? I couldn’t find it but would be interested in watching.
Unfortunately I didn't in the end - ended up on maternity leave! - but will look to add it back in to the future list 😄

Thank you ❤️
You're welcome!
Loved your enthusiasm and the quality of the video. Really wished you knew the game play and parts names ahead of time.
